K-Pop Fan Interview: Antonia
Could you tell us who you are, where you’re from and give us a little description about yourself?
I am Antonia and I’m 17 years old. My username has the name “niaMa” in it though, because antoNIA is my first and MArie is my second name. I’m from south germany and I have been dancing since approximately a year!
So how long are you a K-pop fan and how did you get introduced?
I think I have been a K-pop fan for over a year now. At first I was introduced to K-pop through my stepsister (she showed me “Fake Love” by BTS), but I really started to listen to it on a regular basis after my bestfriend introduced me to BTS and Everglow.
Why do you love K-pop and what makes it different compared to other genre’s?
I just love the concept of dancing and singing being equally important in K-pop and the group forming process. I think what makes it really different is the group forming process on one side and most important the training from the artists. Literally every idol is talented.
If you make K-pop related content could you tell us what you do and why?
Yes! I make K-pop dance covers and also vocal covers, because after watching all the amazing MV’s I really wanted to dance and sing along. I’m currenty learning Korean so I can pronounce the lyrics better.
Could you tell us your top 5 K-pop groups (in no particular order):
BTS, CLC, IZ*ONE, MCND and Everglow.
Out of those 5, if you had to pick a number 1, who would it be and why?
BTS or CLC. I just think that BTS’ members worked harder than everyone else in the industry to get there where they are now. And to add onto that: BTS songs are just the most iconic and special ones in my opinion.
Who’s your bias. Could you tell us your top 5 (in no particular order):
Namjoon (BTS), Jin (BTS), Sorn (CLC), Minjae (MCND) and Haechan (NCT).
If you had to pick a number 1 bias, who would it be and why?
Sorn. She is such a rolemodel for me. She came to Korea as a foreigner at such a young age and fought for her dream.
Imagine getting a wish granted, but it has to be K-pop related: could you tell us what your wish would be and why?
Definitely having the chance to become a trainee. I would love to get this experience! An other option would definitely be tickets for a concert.

To saturnc0re and kkg_dance!! They are by far my favourite cover artists! They are both so underrated, but sooo talented.
And last but not least: if you could change the world with just one positive message (it doesn’t have to be K-pop related), what would it be?
Just like RM (BTS) once said: Speak yourself. Love yourself. Life is too short, so don’t listen to others, listen to your heart.
