Dance Cover Showcase: Camilla

Could you tell us who you are, where you’re from and why you have chosen this dance cover as your showcase?

Hello, I’m Camilla, but my stage name is Dudu. I’m 20 years old and I’m Italian. I have a dance crew called Olympic Crew with whom I share the love for K-pop and the passion for dance. I chose “Blessed by Miso” as my dance cover showcase, because it makes me feel more confident. It makes me feel like a strong and courageous woman who overcomes her fears.

So how long did you have to study the choreography?

It took me a week to learn this choreography. Constant commitment and determination.

How long does it normally take for you to memorize the choreography?

It depends on the choreography, if it’s easy or difficult. If it’s easy, just a day or two, but if it’s difficult, it takes me more time to memorize every single step, because I try all the smallest details to understand it better.

What was the most difficult part of the choreography?

The choreography was easy, but heavy to hold physically. I found no difficulty, except from 2.59 to 3.04 to memorize, because it’s fast.

Were you surprised that the choreography was easy / difficult and why?

I thought I couldn’t do it being an insecure girl, but memorizing the sequence and putting it into practice I immediately felt ready to improve it and do the choreo. I found it easy enough to learn.

How did you come up with your outfit?

For the outfit I was inspired by the artist MiSO with military clothes.

Are there hidden bloopers / secrets in your dance cover?

No bloopers or secrets, except that I was dancing in the water.

If you could give one positive message / advice to anyone out there who loves to do K-pop dance covers, what would it be?

Always continue to improve yourself. Put all the passion that is inside yourself into making K-pop dance covers and believe in yourself! Don’t be stopped by anyone! You’re the best!
